Foolswork is a community of friends that strive to get out into the community and be involved in the lives and actions of our neighbors. We take a simple approach to everything we are involved in: Get in - Find Out - Do Something. We gather in restaurants - coffee shops and front porches.

Heart Transplant Needed

We have an opportunity to help a community in Vietnam. There is a little girl that needs an open heart transplant this summer and we have agreed to raise the support for this surgery. The total amount needed as of today is only $2500 USD. please pray for us as we, a group of college students, raise this much needed money.

New connections in our Neighborhood

This week we have the opportunity to spend a day with Pastor Larry. He is the pastor of an established church in our neighborhood and in our opinion he a "gate keeper" into this community. Please pray for our meeting and specifically that God will show us they way he wants us to go in the relationship.

Morgans' Tummy

Morgan is one of our team members and she has a constant tummy ache. Please pray for the doctors to figure out why she is feeling so uncomfortable. (On the really cool side - the Dr.'s had he swallow a camera that sends pictures to a computer every so often. How cool is that?!?) Please understand this is not necessarily a prayer for good health and comfort. This is a prayer for knowledge and understanding.

I am constantly praying for Foolswork. We have so many decisions and fears and questions and misunderstandings and confusing moments that we are spending a lot of time lately just spinning. Breath for Tori Bolin

Tori is the 14-year-old daughter of my friends Tommy and Melody Bolin. She was born with a lung disorder that has baffled doctors since her birth. On Tuesday she was admitted again to Texas Children's Hospital with severe complications.

imagine, $2500 will give a little girl a chance at life again. you guys have an amazing opportunity to not only help this girl get a new heart, but you will be able to minister to her and her family. $2500 will not be too hard for a group of young, bright, and resourceful college student!

We had a great meeting with Pastor Larry yesterday. He made us feel welcome. He started introducing us to members of the community that could help us move into the Heights much faster than we ever imagined or dreamed. Please continue to pray for our little group as we "crash forward" into the unknown.
